Gen Z consumers also prefer inorganic sunscreens for their perceived higher safety and good EGW scores. However, a high dosage of solids is needed to formulate high performance SPF 50+ inorganic sunscreens. To be fully solubilized, inorganic UV filters require a high amount of solvent in the system, which induces aesthetics issues for the formula. Therefore, achieving high SPF while using inorganic UV filters of formulas that consumers will adopt is proving quite challenging. In this presentation, we will investigate new inorganic sunscreen solutions and photostabilizers that can help formulators to create well accepted and safe inorganic sunscreens. Emollients SENSOLENE® ​ Ethylhexyl Olivate Multifunctional Dermollient Sensolene® is a multifunctional lipid endowed with emollient properties to provide high levels of skin compatibility while providing elegant appearance and texture to the formulation.
